The HOPE Centre For Inclusion
If you're interested in enrolling your child at HOPECFI in addition to school, please reach out to your child's school SENCo. They can explore funding options and help coordinate the process if you believe it would benefit your child, the school community and your family.
Children aged 4 can attend HOPECFI full-time during the Reception Class deferral period. Parents may choose to defer their child's admission to primary school, particularly for summer-born children (born between 1st April and 31st August). These children can attend HOPECFI full-time from September after their 4th birthday until the September following their fifth birthday. To defer your child’s admission, please consult the school admissions team.
During this period, your child may still access the Government Funded 15 or 30 hours until the term after their fifth birthday. You may also remain eligible for Tax-Free Childcare, Universal Credit, or additional support. If your child has an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), you can request a review to secure funding for their attendance at HOPECFI. Please consult your child’s nursery SENCo for guidance on EHPC processes.
Children on the Education Other Than At School "EOTAS" packages, over the age of 5, can attend HOPECFI for up to 16 hours per week during regular school days and times. Additionally, they have the option to attend full time during school holidays. Home Educated Children may qualify for Tax or Universal Credit, Tax Free Childcare and funding from the Local Authority if your child has an EHCP. You can request a review of your child's EHCP to add HOPECFI part time as we can help your child socialise and make friends.
We still await Local Authority final checks for SENSAP commissioning to enable funding via a review of the EHCP for extra funding.
Schools can commission HOPECFI directly.
Children can be enrolled into a school and still attend HOPECFI part time up to 16 hours per week during school terms without any cost to parents. This is because the school can request a review of your child's EHCP to request funding to cover HOPECFI's fees, ask a professional such as the SENIT to make recommendations, apply for Exceptional Funding from the Local Authority or fund your place at HOPECFI through the School SEND Budget. Please speak to your school to arrange your child's admission, funding and transportation for your child if you believe that attending HOPECFI in addition to school will benefit the child, the school community and their family. This is to ensure children still access education if for any reasons, they are not able to attend school full time because illness, behaviour or other needs.
If you child does not have an EHCP, speak to a professional involved with your child.
PAYING FOR MY CHILD TO ATTEND HOPECFI
In some cases, your child's school may fund this placement thorugh their SEND Budget or by requesting a review of your child's EHCP to cover the full cost of attendance at HOPECFI. If your child is not currently enrolled in school and you are registered with the Local Authority for Home Education and your child has an EHCP and EOTIS packages, you will need to request the Local Authority to cover the full cost of attendance via a review of your child's EHCP and join us privately. We are Ofsted registered, therefore you could claim Tax Free Childcare, Tax Credit or Universal Credit.

ENQUIRE FOR A PLACE
We are currently accepting children on E and D Band PRAGMATICS Tier 2 and 3 and those with an EHCP.
To express your interest in securing a place for your child at HOPECFI, please first communicate with your school or nursery SENCo. You can also complete our Enquiry form to notify us of your interest and we will liaise with your child's school and together, explore if our center is the best place for your child. If the school is requesting the placement on behalf of your child, they can fill out the Enquiry form. Parents or the school are responsible for making travel arrangements to and from HOPECFI.
Once we receive the Enquiry form, we will promptly speak with the school to discuss the child's needs, explore funding options, and schedule a visit to the school or nursery to assess whether we can meet those needs effectively. We may visit the child at home if they are not currently in attendance or if the parents request a home visit. If the school confirms the funding and we determine that we can offer the child a place, we will invite the parents and child to visit HOPECFI.
If the child is funded privately, we will arrange to visit the child at school or home to discuss the child's needs to assess whether we can meet those needs effectively. Following the visit, we will invite the parents and child to visit HOPECFI.
Should parents choose to proceed, we will formalise the child's placement offer by providing a Fees Schedule and granting access to our Service Agreement and Service Requirement documents. Upon receipt of the signed Service Agreement and Service Requirement, we will issue the parents with a Child's Unique Identification Code (CUIC) and password to complete our online Registration Form. The child's start date will be confirmed once the Registration Form has been submitted, and a personalised settling-in plan will be developed in collaboration with the school and parents. Additionally, we require schools and parents to provide details of any professionals involved with the child to facilitate a coordinated approach. HOPECFI will liaise directly with these professionals to ensure a smooth and supportive transition for the child.
Schools may request a HOPECFI visit, conduct a due diligence check, or arrange a professional meeting at any stage of the enquiry or registration process.
