At HOPECFI, we recognise that every child has unique needs, strengths, and abilities. Our commitment is to provide a highly personalised approach to education, supporting each child academically, socially, emotionally, and behaviourally.
We develop an Individual Education Plan (IEP) for every child, tailored to their specific profile of needs. This plan integrates specialist support services such as Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Behavioural Interventions We foster an inclusive, respectful, and nurturing environment where all children are welcomed, valued, and supported. Empathy, understanding, and acceptance are core values embedded across our provision, helping to build a community of mutual respect among children and staff.
Our small class sizes allow for more focused, individualised attention, ideal for children with SEND or those who find mainstream settings challenging. The curriculum is highly adaptable and responsive to diverse learning needs, incorporating multi-sensory teaching methods, differentiated strategies and assistive technology. We recognise that many children with SEND may experience difficulties with emotional regulation and behavioural challenges. As such, we implement evidence-based strategies to teach emotional literacy, coping skills, and positive behaviour support, contributing to a calm and supportive learning environment.
Family involvement is integral to our approach. We engage parents and carers through regular communication, parent workshops, and access to family support networks. We also provide comprehensive transition planning, whether the goal is reintegration into a school setting, progression to specialist provision, or preparation for adulthood. Each plan is tailored to the child’s individual needs, aspirations, and developmental stage. Our staff participate in ongoing training and professional development, ensuring that practice remains current and informed by the latest research in SEND education, behaviour support, and inclusive pedagogy.
At HOPECFI, we celebrate progress in all its forms, no matter how small. We use positive reinforcement to nurture self-esteem, build motivation, and encourage continued growth. Our aim is to provide every child with a safe, enriching, and empowering environment where they can thrive academically, emotionally, and socially.

Dress Code Policy
The purpose of the dress code is to foster a positive and respectful learning environment, enhance the spirit of HOPECFI, and ensure the safety of all children.
All clothing worn by children must be neat, clean, and in good repair, and should not distract from the learning environment. Items featuring offensive or inappropriate language or images, as well as those promoting alcohol, drugs, or violence, are strictly prohibited. Sleepwear, including pyjamas, is not acceptable; however, slippers may be worn indoors. While at HOPECFI, outdoor shoes are not permitted inside the classrooms. Children may bring and store separate indoor shoes at the centre. Additionally, ripped or torn clothing that exposes undergarments or skin must be avoided. Hats, hoods, and sunglasses are not to be worn indoors unless for religious or medical reasons, and any head coverings must not obscure the face or disrupt the educational process.
Accessories should be chosen thoughtfully; jewellery must not pose safety risks or be excessively distracting. Items such as accessories with spikes, chains, or those that could be considered weapons are prohibited. For physical education sessions and related extracurricular activities, children are required to wear appropriate athletic attire.
The enforcement of the dress code will be managed by HOPECFI staff. Children who do not comply with the dress code will have the opportunity to change into appropriate clothing. We appreciate the cooperation of parents in adhering to the dress code policy. Together, we can maintain a respectful and conducive learning environment for all children.
READINESS FOR LEARNING
Timely arrival is essential for children's academic success and personal development. Arriving on time enables children to engage in morning routines, participate in activities, and build connections with peers and teachers. This habit fosters responsibility and discipline.
In contrast, lateness can lead to missed instructional time, adversely affecting a child's learning and disrupting the classroom environment. Regular lateness may also contribute to negative attitudes toward learning.
To promote learning, parents should establish consistent morning routines and prepare the night before by implementing early bedtimes and limiting screen time. By prioritising timely arrival, families can enhance their children's educational experiences and foster the development of positive habits.
CHILDREN SHOULD ARRIVE AT HOPECFI READY TO LEARN
Our Pick Up Policy
HOPECFI is committed to maintaining a safe environment for all children. This policy outlines the procedures and expectations for the pick-up of children to ensure their safety and security.
Authorised Individuals
Only the child's school, parents, carers,, or individuals aged 16 and older authorised by the parents or carers may pick up children from HOPECFI. A list of authorised individuals must be submitted and updated as necessary. All individuals picking up children are required to present valid identification to HOPECFI personnel. This measure is essential for verifying the identity of the individual and ensuring the safety of all children. All individuals picking up children are expected to conduct themselves with respect and courtesy while on HOPECFI premises. Disruptive or inappropriate behaviour will not be tolerated and may result in restricted access to the property. Parents, carers are required to provide accurate emergency contact information and ensure it is kept current. In the event of an emergency, HOPECFI will utilise this information to safeguard the welfare of the children. Any alterations to the established pick-up plan must be communicated to HOPECFI in writing. This includes changes to authorised individuals or any unforeseen circumstances affecting pick-up.
Designated Drop-Off and Pick-Up Areas
Parents and carers are required to ring the bell for entry into the building and are prohibited from allowing others to enter. Furthermore, it is essential that they ensure the door is securely closed behind them. Children must be dropped off and collected at the reception area located near the main entrance of the building. Entry into the playrooms by parents, carers, and authorised individuals is not permitted without prior authorisation from HOPECFI staff. The use of mobile phones and recording devices is strictly prohibited on the premises and grounds of HOPECFI.
Feedback
Parents and carers are encouraged to schedule meetings to discuss their child’s progress or to address any concerns or complaints they may wish to raise. Accident and incident reports are shared electronically with schools and parents, and HOPECFI staff responsible for handing children over may not be able to provide verbal feedback regarding specific accidents or incidents, as they may not have witnessed them firsthand. Our objective is to provide positive feedback exclusively during drop-off and pick-up times. These brief interactions allow us to celebrate each child's achievements and foster a supportive environment. By focusing on positive reinforcement, we aim to strengthen our partnership with parents and enhance the overall HOPECFI experience for all children. We encourage parents, carers to participate in these exchanges, contributing to a collaborative dialogue that supports their child’s learning and development.
Timeliness of Pick-Up
Parents should arrive on time for their session. Children are expected to be picked up promptly at the agreed time. In the event of an anticipated late pick-up, it is imperative to notify us as soon as possible. Please be advised that there may be charges associated with unauthorised late pick-ups. In instances where a child is not picked up within 10 minutes of the designated pick-up time, HOPECFI will make every effort to contact the parent using the contact information provided. Should the parent be unreachable within a reasonable timeframe, we will proceed to contact the authorised individuals listed in the child's file. The child's school will be notified of lateness. Repeated occurrences of late pick-ups may result in a meeting to discuss appropriate arrangements.
