Referral and Admission Process

Upon receipt of a completed Enquiry Form, HOPECFI will initiate contact with the referring school to discuss the child's individual needs, explore potential funding pathways, and arrange a visit to the school or nursery. This visit will support our assessment of whether the provision at HOPECFI can effectively meet the child’s needs.

Where funding is confirmed by the school and HOPECFI determines that it is able to meet the child’s needs, an invitation will be extended to the child and their parents to visit HOPECFI and explore the provision.

For children whose placement is funded privately, HOPECFI will arrange to visit the child in their home or educational setting to assess needs and suitability. Following this assessment, a visit to HOPECFI will be offered to the child and their parents.

Should the parents decide to proceed with the placement, HOPECFI will issue a formal offer of a place, accompanied by a Fee Schedule and access to the Service Agreement and Service Requirements documentation. Once the signed documents are returned, HOPECFI will issue a Child’s Unique Identification Code (CUIC) and password, enabling parents to complete the online Registration Form. The child’s start date will be confirmed upon receipt of the completed Registration Form. A personalised settling-in plan will then be developed collaboratively with the school and family to ensure a smooth transition.

To support a coordinated and holistic approach, parents and schools are required to provide details of all professionals currently involved with the child. HOPECFI will liaise directly with these professionals to facilitate effective planning and ensure the child’s needs are fully supported.

At any stage of the enquiry or registration process, schools may request a visit to HOPECFI, undertake due diligence checks, or convene a professional meeting with the HOPECFI team.
